Bio:
Capt. Christopher “CJ” Gaecke Bio
Current Position: Madera Company Commander/Captain 2022-current, Sahuarita Arizona.
My parents moved our family to Arizona in 1976 where I graduated from Sahuaro High School in Tucson Arizona. Fulfilling a call to serve and a desire for adventure, I joined the Air Force in 1985 as a jet engine mechanic and traveled the world in support of flying missions in over 15 countries spanning the globe from Guam to Saudi Arabia. I retired in 2007 as a Senior Master Sgt. E-8 with a degree in business administration.
I’m currently employed as a USAF Civil Servant at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson Az. My job position is Flight Chief, responsible for 88 personnel with over 3,000 aircraft at the 309th AMARG “Boneyard.”
I have a wife and two school-aged daughters and we live in Green Valley. My adult son resides in Tucson. We enjoy bike riding, jumping in the pool, watching football and taking in local stock car races.
Having served our great country for over 21 years, now wanting to serve my local community, I’ve been a Sahuarita Police Dept. volunteer for nearly eight years and an Arizona Ranger in Madera Co. for almost five and a half years. My duties in Madera have been Asst. Training Sgt, Training MSgt, Duty Sgt., FTO, Range Master, Law Enforcement Coordinator, Public Relations, Public Point of Contact and Company Commander for the last 3 terms.
Madera Co. has grown in ability and scope with the help of a solid command staff and great company members. We’ve formed a solid partnership with Sahuarita PD and their trust in our ever increasing abilities is showcased by their frequent use of Madera at every town event and 24/7 call-outs for manning assists.
I’ve enjoyed working many Rangers duties throughout Arizona, especially in the southwest area supporting my brothers and sisters. I know a lot of you and have formed great relationships with many of you and your companies. My goal is to work with company commanders in any endeavor my experience as a Ranger and Company Commander can be of assistance. My micro vision is that the southwest area supports each other in duties when called upon, whether a routine duty or a call for emergency assistance. My macro vision is that the rest of the areas look to the southwest as a benchmark for professionalism and teamwork.
I feel I have the experience, background and leadership abilities to successfully fulfill the position as your Area Commander. If elected, my pledge is to support the southwest area to the utmost of my ability and represent us proudly as a board of directors member, speaking for all of us with one voice, with honesty and integrity.
Thank you for your trust in me.
